Fives years may seem like a long time, but anticipation is half the fun. Find out 5 things to look forward to at the AA International Conventiaon 2025.

It might not be for another five years, but the AA International Convention in Vancouver is set to be great fun — it's never too early to begin making plans, either!

Although there's sure to be plenty to enjoy at the 2025 AA International Convention, we've got five of the best things to look forward to as you spend some time in the Pacific Northwest. Keep reading to find out what not to miss!

1. All of the Local Parks

Potentially the world's best park, Vancouver's Stanley Park is a great place to spend some time relaxing.

You can find sea lions and dolphins, head to the beach, check out some indigenous sites, or simply rent a bicycle and explore the park at your leisure, getting some exercise in the process!

There's also Queen Elizabeth Park, which although smaller boasts some picturesque gardens, VanDusen Botanical Garden in the city center, and the Grouse Grind, which is challenging to hike but well worth giving a try.

2. The Museum of Anthropology

While in Vancouver, the Museum of Anthropology is definitely worth a visit. Go back in time 10,000 years to when the region was first populated and learn about Vancouver's rich history.

Fully embrace the indigenous traditions of the area, at this museum that overlooks the Burrard Inlet. You can take a tour, or simply make your own way around the site looking at the fascinating exhibitions.

3. Chinatown

This is one of the most iconic neighborhoods in Vancouver and boasts some fantastic stores and markets.

Sit down for some dim sum, or head to Dr. Sun Yat Sen Garden. All organized and constructed by hand, it imitates gardens found on the Chinese mainland — take a trip to East Asia without leaving North America!

4. Granville Island

The Granville Island peninsula is definitely worth visiting — you can take an aquabus to get there.

It has a rich history as a center for industrial manufacturing but is now a hip, artsy location for locals and tourists alike. Go shopping at one of the best markets in Canada, taste some great food, and look round the trendy galleries and theaters in the area.

5. Making the Most of the Food

Vancouver is a real melting-pot of cultures, so it makes sense that there would be a wide range of cuisines here. No matter what you feel like eating, you're sure to find it without too much trouble.

Whether you want to try something new or stick to what you know, Vancouver will have what you're looking for. From Granville Island to Chinatown and everywhere in between, the food in Vancouver is truly something to savor.
