I tested this coin where I work at a non-profit, and people loved them, so I will stock it from now on. What the "8" looking symbol means? It can have more than one meaning. It means infinity, as a continuous loop. Some have used that symbol to mean God, eternity, outer space, anything without beginning and without end. In AA recovery, this may mean to someone to pray without ceasing, or to never give up trying, or that they can know God never gives up on them even if humans do, etc. Make it mean what you like. What is special about the coin itself? It is thick, good heaviness, so durable. It is coated well so the color will not wear off in your pocket. It is not cluttered as most coins are, with an unusual simple message in symbols only. It isn't in English, or any written language, which makes this ideal for Deaf ASL users who are not fond of English, as well as other people who use languages other than English. There is nothing preachy about this message, as you can meditate on the meaning you see. For those who do not really want to out that they are in AA to the entire world, someone seeing this coin would not necessarily get the meaning of the triangle as it is designed. Both men and women like this coin. It is pretty great as is and I would have nothing to tell the designer to change at all.
